Every new instrument brings new ideas when first played. These nine pieces are the most expressive of the recordings first done with a Melody Hand Pan by Sela. The original hang drums were quite expensive, but these hand pans are very well made in South Africa, and a bit more affordable.

These nine tracks bring different images to mind when listening, and Ken has named them after everyday activities that occur outside, even though they were recorded inside the Anvil Creations studio. The stereo effect was achieved with two microphones, one on each side of the instrument.
