Several hand-held cymbals with make-shift handles start off this piece, and are used against each other and to strike other larger instruments. The bell-like sounds are cups and singing bowls from Nepal. Often, the sounds of the sticks being used are incorporated into the sonic environment. Both hands were used here with a stationary microphone.
