about

These are probably the best live recordings that have been preserved on tape from 1988. Three members of the IEMA (International Electronic Music Association) had gotten together to play a benefit concert in Provincetown, Cape Cod on March 5, 1988. The tape was submitted by Ben Kettlewell, who played together with Dave Prescott. Lauri Paisley, who was a staff member of the IEMA while they were still active, opens the concert with three original compositions of her own.

A local paper, The Cape Codder, published an article about Lauri written by Leah Rush, who interviewed Lauri before the concert to benefit WOMR. It was held at the Universalist Meeting House, and admission was charged at $6 per person. Leah writes: "Miss Paisley is traveling from Elizabeth, New Jersey, to play with Mr. Kettlewell, the producer of the electronic music program, Imaginary Voyage, on WOMR, and David Prescott, host of a program called, Neo-Logisms, on Boston College station WBZC. Mr. Prescott and Mr. Kettlewell are composers as well as radio announcers and avid electronic music fans."
