Anvil Creations Director, Ken Moore, first met Denny in 1988, and together they provided music for a new church starting out in Catonsville, Maryland. Denny had already made a cassette tape, which he then gave a copy to Ken, and over the years, the music on the cassette continued to inspire and edify him. About a decade later, Ken digitized the tape and made himself a CD. This music was taken directly from the tape that Denny made in the early 1980s.

Denny Cooney had amazing talent, and also an amazing testimony. Before he had met Ken, Denny had been diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease, and carried around with him, a large tumor about the size of his actual head, on his shoulder. The doctors at Johns Hopkins gave him medicine, but did not expect Denny to live. What happened was, Denny turned from being agnostic, to praying and hearing from God. He stopped taking the medicine that the doctors gave him, and asked God to heal him. One of the songs (probably "His Name Is Jesus") is a story of how he was healed, and claimed that God actually told him to write the song.

Denny was born on August 17, 1950, and went to be home with the Lord on December 26, 2018 after spending a peaceful Christmas day with his rather large family. This release is dedicated to the Cooney family.
